Flaxseed is the seed from the plant Linum usitatissimum. Flaxseed oil is obtained from flaxseed using cold pressing.

Flaxseed oil contains the essential omega-3 fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). Flaxseed oil is a source of polyunsaturated fatty acids such as alpha-linolenic acid. The alpha-linolenic acid and related chemicals in flaxseed oil seem to decrease inflammation. That is why flaxseed oil is thought to be useful for rheumatoid arthritis and other inflammatory (swelling) diseases.

WAY OF PRODUCTION - COLD PRESSED

Cold Pressed Production - Cold press processing reduces exposure to heat and oxygen during the production process, permitting high levels of taste and nutrient retention.

When and oil is produced in cold-pressed way it retains more of its vitamins, enzymes, minerals, and antioxidant. This makes it a healthier alternative way of production in any way.
